                        Camelot

                                                born on June 7, 2008

piebald (black and white), 2 blue eyes, 15.1hh

MHR's Camelot is out of our favorite mare "Mary" (producer of high quality offspring) and the good stallion "Keebler" (see pictures below) a homozygous son of "The Bishop". Camelot is a black and white (piebald) colt, still in his typical mousy, greyish baby coat that will change in color over the next months. He has most likely inherited his mother's talent of the "Slow Gait" an additional gait that gives you the feeling of sitting in a massage chair when trotting; so no Jo-Jo effect there. That makes him also the perfect companion for going on some long and comfortable trail rides. Camelot will mature to at least 15.1 hh, is built correct with long, straight legs, and a stout and compact body. His right eye is about 3/4 blue and some blue in his left eye which looks so beautiful. He has a gorgeous small head to fall in love with. Camelot will be trained to trailer, stand still for the farrier, cross tie and everything else he needs for a great start. He is of course UTD on all his shots, wormings, trimmings etc. It's important for us to find a great home for him and therefore his price is negotiable with an available payment plan. We will have him registered with the Gypsy Cob and Drum Horse Association. It's just a preference from our side, he could be registered with any other registry as well. Price: $9,800 OBO from a good home.

P.S. A painting of Camelot and his dam by the artist Renae Major is in the works. This painting will be displayed on venues all over Virginia starting this fall. This exhibition is titled "Celebrating the horses of Virginia". We are honored that our horses (along with Stacey Cullen's horses from Tawney Falls Farm) were chosen to present the Gypsy Horse breed. Thanks a bunch Renae!
